DESCRIPTION:
The Young Lions is a name taken by generations of young jazz musicians doing some of their first ensemble work. This concert, the last at the "old" location of the famed Blue Wisp in Cincinnati features an ensemble from the School for Creative & Performing Arts (Austin Stetson on bass, Jack Bogard on mandolin, Gino Sena on saxophone, and Daniel Seibert on drums) with special guest, Nick Triantos on guitar. Many thanks to Eddie Felson, proprietor of the Blue Wisp, for his support for the next generation of great jazz musicians. The Young Lions will be back on stage at the new Blue Wisp, 700 Race Street, Saturdays from 6:00 - 8:00 PM beginning January 7, 2012.
