The All-Star Blues Project is performing the Wilson Pickett classic "Something you got" (aka "My my oh oh I love you so") at the Jazzkeller Hanau Open-Air in Hanau, Germany, on May 9, 2013. The song was written by Chris Kenner and first appeared in 1961. The Wicked Pickett's version appeared on his 1966 Atlantic Records hit album "The exciting Wilson Pickett". It was also used for Hardee's and Carl's Jr. commercials resp. sampled by Brand Nubian for "Ain't no mystery" and the Beatnuts for "Sandwiches". The song was covered by Alvin Johnson, Eric Clapton, Hazmat Modine, Fairport Convention, Eddie Floyd, Dr. John, Fats Domino, Bruce Springsteen, the Ramsey Lewis Trio, Alvin Robinson, Chuck Jackson & Maxine Brown a.o.
