This album brought together the eclectic styles of Harold Budd and Hector Zazou, with a handful of other great musicians.

In the Mid 90's 'Glyph' didn't sound too out of place amongst the downbeat "Trip Hop" that was coming out of Europe at this time. (Record labels such as Mo Wax, Ninja Tunes, Pussyfoot Records have some great examples)

However, this track "And Then She Stepped Aside" was, and still is, in a league of it's own.
It sounds so pure and new 20 years later.

I'm totally in awe of the vocals that Lian Amber performs on this song. It's one of my favorite vocal performances ever to be honest.
There is a great deal of freedom in Lian's singing on this track. The clarity of her wordless vocal, carves the air with it's melodic sensuality.
She speaks a language that is both real and unashamedly human.
Such a soulful sound she makes, tiptoeing just above the music like rays of sunlight passing through the ether.
I can't help but feel warm when I listen to this song. It heals me....like a hug to the soul.
