The small speaking part for which Wendy Richards was reportedly paid only "30 quid" catapulted the snappy 18 year old to instant stardom and eventually made her one of England's most popular TV personalities. With long running roles on the series "Are You Being Served" and "Eastenders", Richards place in TV History is secure, even if her singing career began and ended with "Come Outside".

Michael Sarne never had another hit as big as "Come Outside", however "Hello Loverboy", despite its very modest chart showing had clear potential. The style is similar to the "Come Outside", even if the big sales never materialized.
