This one requires a bit of a description. If you'd like to just listen and enjoy go ahead, but you might get a better context if you read this description. The song overall has many meanings so I'll break this down part by part.
The 1st verse is about 2nd guessing one self as an artist. So if you listen to the 1st verse I start spittin' then every 4 bars or so I'll say something along the lines of "stop let me try that over", and then I'll start rapping differently and once I start to build momentum I'll stop, 2nd guess again, and the same thing over and over. Really what the meaning here is trying to find your own voice, or your own niche, all in hope of distinguishing your style from everyone else's. So you'll rap one way, then get criticized, then rap another way, and again and again only to please someone else but never really satisfying yourself. And the endless cycle that perpetuates is what I try to capture in the 1st verse.
The 2nd verse is absolutely no "2nd guessing". It's 100% in one direction to signify that you've found your voice and your style as you start to break out of that bubble you've created for yourself.
So the 1st verse is doubt. The 2nd verse is belief.
The hook is mashed up lyrics I wrote in part after my friend dies, and in part after my father died, and the loneliness and isolation I felt at the time, but none of it was "new" when it was recorded. If you've followed my channel from the start, say the 1st 35 subscribers or so, then you've heard that hook before just spread across older tracks.
