"I Only Care About You When You're Gone" was written as I was sitting around the house, waiting for someone who was blowing me off. She was a drug addict and seemed to almost enjoy the thrill of making others sit around and wait for them. If you have any experience with addicts and the lies that they weave, you will be able to connect with this song. I wrote it from the perspective of that person, and yes, I say the word "shit" in the chorus, so protect young ears! Writing this song helped me deal with the anger I felt towards her and performing it is fun because I get to play a character. I also think it has a cool groove. Enjoy! Comment! Share!
