Il video in stile Bollywood di Run prende in prestito alcune sequenze del film Aadmi (1968), girato magistralmente dal direttore della fotografia Faredoon A. Irani, noto a sua volta per celebri lungometraggi tra cui Andaz e Mother India. Le immagini di Run, estraniate dal loro contesto originale e adattate alla nuova narrazione, conservano alcuni clichè del cinema indiano: il corteggiamento in mezzo alla natura, l'opulenta cerimonia di nozze, il triangolo amoroso e la villa lussuosa con scalinata. D'altro canto, le parole della canzone toccano temi drammatici quali la discriminazione e le molestie sessuali. I protagonisti si trovano così a partecipare inconsapevolmente alla rappresentazione: Waheeda Rehman, che in Run incarna la voce di Elisa Amistadi, vorrebbe solo godersi la vita in tranquillità ma non può mai abbassare la guardia, dovendosi districare tra i due pretendenti Dilip Kumar e Manoj Kumar. Lei vorrebbe correre spensierata giù dal pendio della montagna o lungo l'alveo del fiume e invece è costretta a correre per la propria vita.

The music video of Run borrows its images from the Indian film Aadmi (1968), masterfully crafted by cinematographer Faredoon A. Irani, also known for Indian blockbusters Andaz and Mother India. Run's visuals, alienated from their original context and adapted to the new narrative, still preserve some of Bollywood's classic clichès: wooing scenes in a pristine landscape, lavish weddings, a love triangle, and a staircase in a princely house. On the other hand, the song lyrics deal with such tragic themes as discrimination and sexual harassment. The protagonists find themselves unaware inside this new drama: Waheeda Rehman, who embodies Elisa Amistadi's voice in Run, would just like to enjoy her life in peace but she cannot ever let down her guard, since she has to disentangle herself from her two suitors, Dilip Kumar and Manoj Kumar. She wants to run carefree down a gentle slope or along the bed of a river, but instead she has to run for her life.
