The 12th Annual Small World Music Festival presents a gifted singer-songwriter, JORGE DREXLER, who won international acclaim and an Academy Award for his song 'Al otro lado del Rio' from the film 'the Motorcycle Diaries' -- the first Oscar winner sung in Spanish. With his warm, mellow voice and sophisticated melodies, he creates an intimate connection with audiences that has won him a global following. Three Grammy and 4 Latin Grammy nominations, as well as recordings of his songs by Neneh Cherry, Ketama, David Broza, Omara Portuondo and Bajofondo speak to his appeal. Jorge's recent efforts have centred around 'n', a mobile app that allows users to 'collaboratively compose' songs with him, creating a new experience for fans. LENKA LICHTENBERG opens with a set of exquisite music from her recent release 'Embrace'.
