Lee Rogers - YOU WON'T HAVE TO WAIT TILL XMAS (Christmas) (1965) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Dec 03, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - (D-Town 1062) Out of Detroit, this Motownesque holiday release from the winter of 1965 is the fifth of the eight singles that Lee Rogers issued with the Mike Hanks' D-Town label between 1964 and 1966. Rogers, whose vocal style is very much like that of Marvin Gaye sings over an infectious backing track arranged by Rudy Robinson. 'You Won't Have To Wait Till Xmas' was written by Hanks and the mysterious 'C. Bell'. It is thought that Mike Hanks included this name on this and other compositions in order to gain more songwriting royalties.
