School Daze: A triumphant recall of the enthusiasm and abandon of one's younger days that is carried into the present. This track is extremely uplifting and hopeful sounding with a totally groovy bass outro that I can't stop replaying. Definitely a standout and perfect album opener. This single is taken from the Michael Riesenbeck - "II" album.

December, 15th the new album "II" of Dutch guitarist/producer Michael Riesenbeck (China Blue, Alibi, Fanfields, Viteffe, Lec Zorn Project), was released.

The album features guest musicians from all over the globe: USA, Brazil, Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, etc. To name a few: Tony Mills (TNT, Shy), Eric Ragno (Alice Cooper, Paul Stanley, Graham Bonnet), Rev Jones (Michael Schenker Group, Mountain), Michael Peet (Powerplay, Joe Bonamassa), Serge Naberman (Najib Amhali, Rebelstar) and Marco van der Aar (Soylent Green).

The styl is melodic rock in the vein of Toto, Journey, Giant and Whitesnake. Various other influences can be heard on the album, like progressive rock, hardrock, bluesrock, metal and symphonic rock. Especially noticable about the album are the many layers in the vocals, guitars and keyboard parts. The result is an album with 12 songs very diverse songs, supported by a crystal clear mix and production.

Michael's guitar style has been compared with that of players like Steve Lukather, Neal Schon, Dann Huff and John Sykes.
