MISS EILEEN AND KING LEAR


There's something about a sibling relationship that creates the perfect musical dynamic. With indie folk duo Miss Eileen & King Lear this is certainly the case. The honesty and warmth the pair bring to their tunes shines through on first single Into Your Arms, taken from their forthcoming debut EP Hungry Little Heart.

Forming just over six months ago, siblings Eileen and Lear Hodgkins have already enjoyed enormous success, signing to youth run record label Decibels Records earlier this year. No strangers to the music industry, Eileen and Lear Hodgkins have been performing since childhood in the roots/vaudeville act The Perch Creek Family Jugband.

In only a short time, the pair have gone from a caffeine fuelled jam session in an overheating tour van to recording their first EP.

Into Your Arms shines with a simplistic beauty, expressing the realities of love in an earnest and honest way. Featuring Lear on lead vocals, the song is carried by an underlying, stomping heartbeat. It starts with a raw beginning, adding layers and building to an epic and sweeping finish.

The future is looking bright for Miss Eileen & King Lear as the wheels are set in motion for the release of their Hungry Little Heart' EP. With a perfect balance of sweetness and sass, they're sure to make one hell of an impression.
