Artist Biography: Originating from the birthplace of Metal; Opheon's inception began in 2009, where guitarists Liam and Josh met at school and instantly became good friends because of matching musical tastes. The band officially formed in June 2013, and began playing local shows and writing music. Throughout the year, band members came and went, but finally a permanent line-up was decided upon. Their unique approach to metal takes elements from its various sub genres; namely Thrash, Metalcore and Death Metal whilst also in pairing with the melodic sensibilities of Rock, resulting in a sound that dares to defy the washed out routines that the metal bands of today have yet to escape from. Combined with an explosive and precise live show, Opheon are ready to take on the scene with aplomb in the coming years.

The band already have a 2-track mini EP available for free download produced and mixed by seasoned UK rock/metal producer Jim Pinder (As I Lay Dying/Rise to Remain/Fightstar) with additional help during the recording process from Carl Bown (Machine Head/Trivium/While She Sleeps). After leaving Treehouse Studios for the second time in 2014; the band have completed a full length EP with Jim Pinder once again containing their strongest material to date. Get ready!
