DESCRIPTION:
The last "De Coninckplein Live" concert had it all - good weather, good bands and a perfect party atmosphere. We opened with the local rock band To The Bone who played a no nonsense guitar powered rock set with all their own compositions. Serving us screaming guitar solo's, melodic keys and well arranged and delivered songs. The second act Buenas Ondas brought a musically strong and entertaining show with some tongue and check humour and lots of tasty latin influences mixed with reggae and ska thus a party band for all occasions. The third act Nolia was a big surprise for everyone. The lead singer Stephanie is a talented artist - what a great voice she has! She is at home on a stage and that natural energy reverberated across the square. The whole group sound and songs got a very positive reaction from the audience. The finishing act XAMANEK stand for pure celebration and they delivered one big musical party!! The style is world music with latin spiced reggae and folk. Singing in English, Spanish and French the band itself is also as divers as the music they bring. This music is suitable for young and old and in these multicultural days this band and their music (and positive, happy vibes!!) can bring any audience to life. A great band, a great party, another great Sunshine day!!
