ONE MACHINE, the new band formed by guitarist Steve Smyth (TESTAMENT, NEVERMORE, FORBIDDEN, DRAGONLORD, VICIOUS RUMORSsigned a deal with Scarlet Records for the release of their new debut album, The Distortion Of Lies And The Overdriven Truth, will be out on February 18th, 2014.

A representative for Musicmetric, a company that does forecasting startup that analyzes BitTorrents and social media data, are refuting a report that IRON MAIDEN used the company's statistics to plan their tours.
A December 20 article on the CiteWorld http://www.citeworld.com/consumerization/22803/iron-maiden-musicmetric?page=0
tech blog stated that IRON MAIDEN used BitTorrent data to plan a concert tour in South America, implying that Musicmetric advised the band on where the most downloads were to plan a tour.
Musicmetric's PR, Andrew Teacher, has issued a statement stating they never worked directly with IRON MAIDEN and that the CiteWorld article is "sadly not substantiated."
"Musicmetric never said IRON MAIDEN had used its data to plan a tour — we simply said where the band was popular and stated that BitTorrent data generally, could be useful to see precisely where an act is popular."

The 70000 Tons Of Metal 2014 have announced more bands that will perform on the ship: Cripper, Satyricon, Victory, Obituary, Raven, Orphaned Land, Rising Storm, Haggard, The Church Of Pungent Stench, Izegrim and Vicious Rumors. Vicious Rumors will play Digital Dictator in its entirety.

Dawn Of Ashes, announced that the Enter The Vortex Tour in 2014 will be the last tour of Dawn Of Ashes and a type of farewell for the band. The band has been together for 12 years.

METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich appeared at the Meet The Filmmaker series at the Apple Store in London, England in October and spoke on Metallica Through The Never, film. It is now posted, check it out below:
