I remember the first time I went to Pete's Music and met Larry. I bought my first acoustic guitar from him when I was only 11. I still remember when he gave it to me for the first time, I jumped up crazy with joy! I bought my first tuner from him, first picks, first case, first guitar book, and many more other things as well! You will always be remembered.

Larry Robinson (1948 - 2013) is a singer and songwriter with a true love for his home state of California, as evidenced in the 11 songs on Old California Town... As a family man and working musician Larry has written and recorded songs for six CDs...including 3 CDs for The Dorados, famed for their songs about the great American pastime of fishing... Old California Town is Larry's first solo CD and is inspired by life in California. From the tip of Baja up through Northern California, these songs evoke pictures of places he's been and the times he's had. He shares those experiences with the listener in his smooth, deep, soulful voice and simple, all-acoustic musical accompaniment. Larry and co-producer Paul Beach have recorded a rich, sincere and satisfying album... With 4 grown kids now out of the house, Larry, his wife Pat and mother Mary currently hail from Fallbrook, CA. where Old California Town was recorded. This a beautiful collection of songs about California how it was and is. Great to listen to while driving, or anytime you have a chance to really listen. Its easy to listen to, nice guitar, violin and vocals. Some songs are hauntingly romantic, some beautifully reminiscent, while others are kind of tongue a cheek. Just really nice...
