DESCRIPTION:
This music box was believed to have been purchased new in 1900 or 1901 by a family member. There are three 24” long music cylinders with the box and a hand crank for winding the mechanism. It was manufactured by Mermod Frères of Ste Croix, Switzerland and was estimated to cost around $1,000 USD at the time. It is also believed that only ten of this size music box were made, making it a rarity.
