"Eclipse” is a fantastic powerful, but slick jazz-journey, a perfect club record as well as one you may like to listen to if you’ll be at the lunatic asylum or at the dark side of the moon (hm, just joking!) It’s a tune, which will enchant you.

"Silent Messenger” is piano massive, it reflects all the rich blends of jazz and latin roots, which are the main part in the life of the Okino Brothers. It is still a dance-track, doesn’t matter if you let your mind dancing or your body moving to a true KJM style melodies and sound scapes.

The two brothers Shuya Okino and Yoshihiro Okino are Kyoto Jazz Massive. They are well-known DJs, producers, club-runners and remixers – not only in Japan. Their future jazz blend of Jazz, Bossa, Latin and House is not a trainspotting one, they are definitely the ones of the pioneers and originators in Japan since the late Eighties. For example the club-night “Kyoto Jazz Massive” is one of a real legend! Their regular club-nights in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto exist since the early nineties, and their concept of playing old and new full spectrum sets was and still is a similar concept to regular jazz-orientated club-nights like the Mojo-Club (Hamburg), Bar Rhumba, the old Talking Loud days @ Dingwalls (London), or Into Somethin’ (Munich). Anyway, every world’s famous Jazz-Not-Jazz DJ has played at one of the three Okino-brothers club-nights in Japan. Of course, they are famous DJs as well, who have DJed all over Europe and North America.

Shuya, the older one of the brothers, used to be the creative director of Mondo Grosso, Monday Michiru and many other Japanese acts. Shuya has also another project called Cosmic Village. Yoshihiro is an addicted record collector, like many other Compost-artists, and he has a great collection of Latin and Brazil records, as well as he owns a record shop called Especial Records in Osaka, Japan. Yoshihiro is going to start an own label in year 2000.
