Reverser at 242 Main, June 17, 2016 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jun 26, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
For more from Vermont's Reverser visit https://reverservt.bandcamp.com. You'll want to hear and own the produced tracks if you like hardcore/metal crossover.

This is Big Heavy World's first stab at grabbing 360 video footage. We used a Kodak PixPro SP360, handheld by James Lockridge who gets the blame for moshing while filming (doh.). Thanks to Kip Steele for loaning us a couple of the cameras - look for more footage from Jim and Brian LaClair of Better Things http://betterthingsband.com as they get up to speed with processing, editing, titling, all the fun stuff that goes with learning a new media format.

Big Heavy World is working toward live streaming Vermont concerts in 360 VR; wish us luck as we raise the funds to get a rig that live-stitches and streams footage from an assembly of cameras that captures 360 in every direction and can be viewed (live...) in a VR headset.

This 360 video is a little bit of history in that 242 Main, the country's oldest, longest-running all-ages punk venue, is expected to close as a space at the end of 2016. We'll try to grab more 360 video from the final shows and put it up on the Big Heavy World channel. (Thanks for subscribing!)

Big Heavy World is an all-volunteer, totally independent nonprofit music office that preserves and promotes the original music of Vermont. See more Vermont-made music at http://www.bigheavyworld.com.

Special thanks to Matt Kimball https://sinkorswimvt.bandcamp.com for showing 242 Main the love, and to Ian, Jackson, Ben, Justin/Reverser for letting us video.
