A solid spiritual and musical foundation would be built by his mother who raised him in church, and by his dad who was a jazz musician.

It was inevitable that his strong musical makings would pave his way through being the church drummer and playing in his high school band. It is easy to see why the drums are so prominent in songs such as, T-Pains, “Come on in” which was produced by Kuddie Fresh. “I can remember playing drums with pots n pans with Choklate”, says Kuddie. Choklate is Kuddie’s auntie, and also, a renound soul singer in the northwest’s surge to mainstream notoriety.

As a freshman in high school, Kuddie Fresh looked up to a senior that made beats as part of a music program offered at his high school. That senior was to graduate soon and Kuddie would be given a chance to do what was so natural to him. He would not disappoint but would soon be making the music for the entire high school band. With influences like the legendary Michael Jackson, Prince, Krush Groove, Fat Boys, and LL Cool J, Kuddie knew that he was destined to do more than make music for his high school band. One night he was to meet a man that led him to a studio where he could finally get some hands on experience. It was here that Kuddie realized that he wanted to be a rapper. “The stuff I was writing about at such a young age was way ahead of my time”, says Kuddie.

Independence would soon be forced on Kuddie when he was kicked out of his dads house in which at the same time opened the doors to his future. He was forced to challenge himself, and became relevant to the Hip-Hop Universe.

By the age of nineteen, Kuddie Fresh was a part of and produced for several groups including, My Brothers Keeper and 206 Famly. And from 1999 to 2001, he help with the musical direction of Sons of the Ghetto and another group called Contraban, with auntie Choklate, and two other rappers. Kuddie has made beats for several northwest artists such as Luni Coleone, Cool Nutz, and The Parker Brothaz. . Kuddie became the hype man for The Parker Brothaz in 2003 and was introduced to J-Hen (Now known as Henny) and Dow Jones.

Pushing forward through adversity and building a name for himself, Kuddie Fresh now resides in Atlanta, GA where he is working with Tha Bizness, the production company responsible for hits like Young Jeezy’s “My President”, Lil Wayne & Young Money’s “Every Girl”, R Kelly’s “Hair Braider” and more.
