Dirty Dutch Digital are back with a tight, groovy and melodic house strut from Kiano & Dizzee. Unfamiliar and with a mythical quality wafting throughout, the track opts for curiosity and imagination over powerful drive.
Gently lapping rhythm structures push side by side with softly waving melodies and a rolling bassline to create a lush, underground atmosphere on “Afronta.” The track’s subtle energy is powered by tightly woven grooves in the bottom end until weighty 4/4s begin to kick in at the mid-point. Even from then on, the track doesn’t push into overdrive, instead exploring the curious mysteries out there on the parameter. The strange FX give the impression of exotic animal calls from the dark and enigmatic interior of an unknown jungle, adding the wonderfully idiosyncratic sound of “Afronta.”
