As a listener, one is taken on helahoop´s journey through Pop, Avantgarde, Electronic and Jazz. Themes like reduction, trash, repetition, imperfect beats and etherical surfaces are to be found determinant as helahoop´s „raison d´etre“.
In a live performance, a whole lot of vocals are accompanied by minimalistical electronics, synthesizers, absurd lyrics and jazzy improvisation in a poppy context. Helahoop sounds experimental, electronic, calming, intellectual, different. Helahoop is the new avant-avantgarde.
