A developed style that showcases the musical influences, and raw talents of seven individual's contributions towards orchestrating chaos. Don't worry; this is not a reality T.V. show, or a caged wrestling match. It's more like a well devised, well executed plan to make you get up and dance. Klockwyze delivers like a wrecking ball breaking down the walls of stale, conventional arrangements, and building upon the remaining foundations with an organic blend of Up-Beat Reggae, Dub, Punk Rock, Funk, Soul, and STRAIGHT FUCKING GANGSTA RAP!!! Without a doubt this band appeals to all walks of life, with the community service of spreading their message through music, and creating new fans and good memories along the way.This seven headed beast has been alive since 2002, slowly brewing and gaining popularity through out the Central Coast of California. Klockwyze is known best for their high energy live shows and difference of artistic opinion. This works well because no two player's influences are ever the same. On lead Vocals, Steve Hillock spits experience driven lyrics, backed with sharp yet witty hooks. On Rhythm Guitar and vocals Chris Brown brings upbeat reggae rhythm, and rough and rugged toast style vocal delivery. The Keys are played by Jeff Persson keeping a Ska / Rude Boy presence known through his rhythm and synth accents. Lead guitar is played by Greg Lloyd who has studied in the art of vocal garmony, Deep Fried Funk, Blues, and Psychedelic Soul Thrash. Swapping spit from slide trombone to trumpet is Robert Petersen, adding a (Brassy Big Band) twist to this brew of influences. Bass guitar is played by A.J. Murray, adopting a low-key Punk, Hip Hop, and Dub style. Drummer Brian Freeman donates fills and chops setting the mood by accenting lyrics with diverse drum beats and vocal harmony.
Klockwyze has been blessed to share the bill with acts such as The Expendables, Mad Caddies, Fishbone, Mikey Dread, Eek-a-Mouse,Yellow Man and Toots and the Maytals. These Wyze Guyz have worked hard to get recognized as a fun band that makes you dance from start to finish. After three consecutive years of making New Rock 107.3's Slo & Dysfunctional music compilation, they have had a couple tracks played over the air waves.
