Coming out of the relaxing atmosphere of the Central Coast of California, Bare Feet's music displays the roots of reggae, harmonic rock, and jumpy hip-hop to push their rhythmic vocal melodies.
In 2006, Leif Garrovillas, Jacob Rocha, and Justin Davidson first brought their ideas together in Orcutt at Santa Maria, CA. Being versatile with stringed instruments, the three switched off playing guitar and bass while writing songs. James Timmons later came along to provide intricate drum beats to the musical creations. Now based out of San Luis Obispo, CA, Bare Feet lives to create unique original music and display a high energy performance.
Since the band has started, they gained popularity upon the residents of the Central Coast and beyond. They have played shows in many different areas of California, including San Luis Obispo's Downtown Brew, The House of Blues in Anaheim, The Monterey Fairgrounds, and Santa Barbara's Velvet Jones and Sandbar. Bare Feet has shared the stage with bands such as the Dirty Heads, Tribal Seeds, E40, Passion Pit, Tomorrow's Bad Seeds, Mike Pinto, Rootz Underground, Anthony B, Sashamon, The B Foundation, Natural Incense, Klockwyze, and Through The Roots.
Bare Feet's first studio EP is currently in the process. The band has been working hard and has been patiently enhancing the sound and quality of each song. The much anticipated studio CD will be finished early in 2011.
