DESCRIPTION:
rehearsal of a percussion performance art piece. i built a jal tarang out of glass bowls. Ingredients in the bowls drain through tubing at the bottom & combine in a punch bowl at the bottom. A performance involves filling the bowls with the ingredients for punch & playing music while the bowls drain. When the bowls are empty, I have a vat of punch which I and the audience drink.

In this early rehearsal the bowls are filled with colored water. Still to come. Lighting from below for the punch bowl set-up.

This piece is part of Cooks Notes, a full evening work where I play music for the audience on kitchen implements, while cooking dinner. At the end I and the audience sit down & eat the food I've cooked.
