Indigorado - The Old Man (Official music video) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 17, 2017
DESCRIPTION:
The moment we have been waiting for is finally here: the music video to The Old Man is finished!

A huge thank you goes out to Kenneth Åkerland Berg at bergtatt.net for writing a touching script and for being an excellent producer/director. He assembled a fine group of people during three days when this video was shot. Mikael Luksepp was clearly a master at being cinematographer and Pål Asdal did a mighty fine job as line producer. We couldn't have asked for better actors, and boy did they walk the extra mile for the art this time, standing avation to Matilde Solbakken, Lars Sørbø and Karianne Rislaa Bjåland. And hats off to Elisabeth Åkerland and Elisabeth Rislaa for helping out with the clothings. The editing, made by Bendik Stalheim Møller, was obviously more than well done.

The song itself is a composition made by us in Indigorado: Cathrine Witzøe and Ola Borglin.

Lyrics:
An old man cries in the back of his car
Broken dreams, he’ll never know why
He spends his days driving further away
An endless road along memory lane

Six feet two with a weathered beard
Distant eyes, gazing out the blue horizon
He has no fear, got nothing to lose
A silent scream won’t bring them back to life

And he knows it well and he knows they are gone
And he knows it well and he knows they are gone

He once stood strong with the future in sight
And in his hands held a beautiful girl
She had his eyes they were magical and blue
And since that day he’s been driving further away

And he knows it well and he knows they are gone
And he knows it well and he knows they are gone

Hey, hey, hey…

An old man cries in the back of his car
An empty seat and a silent scream
