Sukran is a Tamil film which released on 18 February 2005 and was directed by S.A. Chandrasekhar. This film has Ravi Krishna in the lead role. Actor Vijay had an extended guest appearance. Ravi Shankar (Ravi Krishna) and Sandhya (Natassha) falls in love with each other. Sandhyas Step-mother (Nalini) doesnt like their relationship. Ravi Shankars father (Nassar) sends them to Chennai. Upon reaching Chennai, a corrupt police officer (Sriman) arrests Ravi Shankar and put him in the jail for a fake murder case. Sandhya gets gang raped by the police officer,a minsters son and the judge. At this situation the couple comes across Sukkran (Vijay) who advices them to face all troubles boldly. Who is Sukkran? Tamil superstar Vijay needs no introduction. Known for his powerful dialogue delivery, rough looks and confident body language, Vijay has worked in more than 60 films. Starting from his debut Vetri as child artist in 1992, the young dynamic actor has portrayed himself in various roles in Tamil cinema. Vijay landed his breakthrough role of a lover who unites two warring families in Poove Unakkaga (1996) which established his career. He went to act with Sivaji Ganesan in Once More (1997). He played the role of a lover who sacrifices his love for the sake of his family in Kadhalukku Mariyadhai (1997) which became a blockbuster and earned him a Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor. Some of his other blockbuster flicks include Thirupaachi, Pokkiri, Azhagiya Tamil Magan, Vettaikaaran, Thuppakki and Thalaivaa.
