War and Peace - Soundtrack - La Marche D'Henri IV - Video
PUBLISHED:  Oct 19, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
Vyacheslav Ovchinnikov's soundtrack to Sergey Bondarchuk's monumental adaptation of the Tolstoy novel "War and Peace".

French stragglers in the custody of the Russian army lead the camp in a song (a song honouring the first Bourbon King, interestingly). A brotherhood is rediscovered in the harsh winter night that supersedes the political climate. The scene of a crowd forming around a great bonfire transitions to Kutuzov's victory speech and the humiliation of the captured eagle-banners.

Dialogue at 1:36 :
Russian 1: "They're people too. Even the weeds have their roots."
Russian 2: "My God! I've never seen so many stars..."
Russian 3: "That means a good harvest this year."

Dialogue at 2:25 :
Kutuzov: "Bow it, make it bow its head. Lower, lower! There we are. Hoorah, my friends!"
Assembled soldiers: "URAAAA!!!"
