For those who knew me personally, knew how much of a Daddy's girl I am. I am the youngest child in my family, some would say I was a spoiled brat even at this age.

I lost my father to MPC (metastatic prostate cancer). He was diagnosed with the cancer for over a year already, and who would ever think that by missing one treatment, he would be gone within 4 months. Losing him turned my whole world upside down. I was a wreck. I pushed everyone away. At the time I only wanted him, knowing that wasn't possible anymore. I was always so angry with everyone, most of the time at myself. I would think that it was so unfair because I only got to spend 24 years of my life with him; and that truly was not enough time.

My father lived a very long and healthy life. He was active, and his passion for music was what he dedicated most of time to. He loved making traditional Hmong instruments; the xim xaus, and the raj nplaim. Not only did he love his music, he loved everyone he ever met. His love for his friends and family was unconditional.

I lost the first man I ever loved on the morning of October 9th, 2015 at the age of 83.
