DESCRIPTION:
The 2nd bi-annual International Piccolo Symposium (IPS) held June 11-14, 2009 at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Artist-Teachers included Jean-Louis Beaumadier (France), Lois Herbine (USA), and Host-Teacher Christine Beard (USA). With special sessions and performances by Nan Raphael, Kate Prestia-Schaub and Stephanie Kocher.

The winner of the 2009 IPS Composition Competition is "Flash!" (2008) for piccolo and piano by Daniel Dorff performed by Kate Prestia Schaub, piccolo and Christi Zuniga, piano (Published by Theodore Presser). ⓒ IPS, all rights reserved.
