DESCRIPTION:
Christian: Taking on such a sensitive subject like addiction is never an easy task for any writer. Especially when personal emotions come into play. Within the past year we have lost some close people to the consequences of addictions, including Jerry's father. I can still remember how distraught and at the same time motivated he was when he asked me to write a song upon this topic. No matter how personal it might be, he didn't want to leave anything in the dark. We want this song to be a kind of warning or wake up call for those that know anyone struggling with addictions or if you're the one struggling with addictions yourself. Regardless of how minuscule or serious the struggle might be, we want you to know that you are not alone. We genuinely hope this song can help anyone relate, and most importantly, overcome.

Jerry: When we wrote the music for this song we had NO idea what we wanted the lyrics to be about. I ended up getting into a serious scuffle with my father that ended in us saying things that neither of us ever had a chance to apologize for. I wanted to write a song that expressed how his hangups made me feel, a song for anyone who felt the same way as me, a song they can hold on to so they don't feel as alone as I did growing up around this disease (my father wasn't the only addict I grew up around). After his passing, I didn't want to release this song because I was afraid the world would view my dead father as a monster, which he was the total opposite of. Flawed, yes... but who isn't? A demon, no, but he had his own, and even through that he was the absolute most loving person he could be. But to me, this song is about an issue bigger than us, it's an epidemic, and its words need to be heard by anyone affected by this disease.
