John plays both the western flute and the bansuri (North Indian bamboo flute) and has years of experience in both eastern and western music. John has studied Indian music extensively with many teachers and gurus, most notably Maestro Hariprasad Chaurasia and has earned 2 degrees in North Indian Classical music from the Rotterdam Conservatorium. John also is the leader and composer for the Indian/Jazz fusion group "Facing East"
