Guitarist JUDE GOLD is Director of GIT (Guitar Institute of Technology) in Hollywood, California, and Los Angeles Editor of GUITAR PLAYER MAGAZINE. He has toured, recorded, and/or performed live with everyone from JGB (featuring original members of the JERRY GARCIA BAND, Emmy-winning singer/actress KRISTIN CHENOWETH (with whom he played The Tonight Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live), guitar hero GREG HOWE (with whom Jude toured India), BX3 (featuring bass ninjas BILLY SHEEHAN, STUART HAMM, and JEFF BERLIN), the always-stellar OAKLAND SYMPHONY, respected turntablist DJ SPOOKY, internationally renowned DJ/Producer MIGUEL MIGS and his band PETALPUSHER, jukebox hero EDDIE MONEY, bluegrass icon DAVID GRISMAN, dearly departed jam-scene favorite MERL SAUNDERS, actor MICHAEL McKEAN in his full SPINAL TAP regalia as guitarist DAVID ST. HUBBINS, raunch-rappers 2 LIVE CREW, and GEORGE CLINTON & THE P-FUNK ALL-STARS. Jude's session credits span everything from the Academy Award-nominated documentary DAUGHTER FROM DANANG and the international release of feature film WAG THE DOG to national television and radio spots for NIKE, ZIMA, DISNEY, APPLE, ROSARITA BEANS, KFC, and other fine companies. An editor for Guitar Player Magazine ten years and counting, Jude has interviewed everyone from AC/DC, Brad Paisley, John Mayer, and Aerosmith to Pat Metheny, Coldplay, John Paul Jones, and Zakk Wylde. Jude enjoys playing solo gigs, rock, funk and jazz gigs, R&B gigs, and any other gig where the music has a deep groove. This includes tribute band gigs with HOT FOR TEACHER, "the Van Halen Experience."
