This video is a segment of a 90-minute amazing concert performed by the four Martins in 2004 and released on DVD entitled "Guitar Nights- The Four Martins".

In this video Juan Martin plays a solo track. And from the title "De Damascus a Cordoba" which means " From Damascus to Cordoba", we can tell that Martin is trying to explore and evoke the strong soft ties between East and West, by invoking the wandering soul between Damascus and Cordoba, through the presence of Arabs in Andalusia.

The Four Martins is a fascinating blend of four acoustic guitarists, including Juan Martin (flamenco) and Martin Taylor (jazz) plus Martin Carthy and Martin Simpson.

This DVD resists categorization, but fans of Jazz/flamenco/Folk Guitar / and the great music in genral, are advised to acquire this impressive release.
