Mark Wheeler plays examples from his workshop in the Spring 2010 Lute Society Of America Quarterly "Fitting the Shoemaker". "The Shoemaker" is a scottish fiddle tune that was popular in the 17th century. His arrangement is based on the surviving versions of the piece in the Guthrie Fiddle manuscript, John Playford's "Apollo's Banquet", Waterson Keyboard Manuscript and also includes the tunes "Peggie is over ye Sie Wi'ye Souldier" from the Skene Mandora manuscript & "The Virgin Queen" from John Playford's "The Dancing Master".

The cittern was built by Peter Forrester.
