JonathanJelks (Aphilliates)

It's rare in todays that you find a young black man taking over his community like Jonathan Jelks. Born in the heart of West Michigan, Grand Rapids (Gun Rule), to be exact, he has developed and co-organized the talented tenth non-profit organization that works to empower and build political and social awareness amongst African American youth. He is currently co-producer and host of a 2 new radio shows entitled "Truth Be Told" on 640 AM that tackle social issues from a young, black, truthful perspective with edge and is shopping for publishers for his first book currently unititled. He has served as the youngest member on the city of Grand Rapids' Mayor's Civil Rights Recognition Commission and is most known for his Annual Symposium series "The Future of the Black Community in Grand Rapids". Jelks is a student at Calvin College and proud product of Ottawa Hills Highschool. He was the 2006 Winner of the Young, Black, and Gifted Award from the City of Grand Rapids and the GR Symphony! Jelks also has heavy ties with DJ Drama's Aphilliates Music Group, working as management/marketing expert in their Atlanta and Michigan Offices.
