Eye Opener -- John Ulrich 1992
In a concert with Gene Mayl's Dixieland Rhytm Kings pianist John Ulrich is featured in a tune composed by Bob Zurke, who was the pianist with the Bob Crosby Bob Cats in the late thirties.
John was a fine pianist from the Columbus, Ohio area. A youtube friend by the name of Dan wrote me to that John Ulrich had died in May this year, a couple of days after a jazz concert. Terefore this in memory of John who was a magnificent pianist. In this clip he is accompanied by Gene Mayl on bass and Ken Hall on drums.
