DESCRIPTION:
David Byrne, Sinkane, Alexis Taylor, Money Mark, the Lijadu Sisters, Kele Okereke, Pat Mahoney, Joshua Redman Jonny Lam and many more took the stage at The Warfield Theater in San Francisco on Tuesday, May 6th, bringing the music of William Onyeabor to life with a non-stop dance party.

From the GA/pit, it sounded like there were some sound issues with the Lijadu Sisters' mics early on, but otherwise it was a fantastic recreation of the unique synthfunk sound that Onyeabor pioneered -obscurely to say the least - from Nigeria in the 70's. Great mix of synthesizers, guitar, brass, drums, keyboards and vocals.
