Johnny Cronin returned to his native Ireland after years battleing the backroom shithole circut of the U.K.He set about putting a band together that could play as big as the noise he had in his head. After a few false starts it came together and recording began. The band recorded most of their forthcoming debut album abroad. Having spent weeks in France on the back of months secluded in a Drumlish farmhouse, the album is a stellar affair, with the tracks so far heard publicly a mere taster of the opulence and brilliance to follow. Taking it’s cues from albums by bands Johnny & Co have played with over the years - from The Kaiser Chiefs to Damien Rice - the band have deliberately spent a detailed time on it.

Chiefly produced by David Odlum, the scope of the bands ambitions is very much in evidence when one looks at the roll call of co-producers and guest musicians.

Some tracks were produced by Phil Vinall, famous for his work with Placebo, Elastica and Pulp, perhaps the band with the most in common to Johnny’s positive urbane outlook. Terry Edwards, whose work with Tindersticks is well documented, contributes, as does Damien Rice cellist Vyvienne Long, Steve Wickham of the Waterboys, Una O’Kane (renowned for her work with U2 and Bellx1 among others) and Paul Weller keyboardist Helen Turner, and Duncan Patterson (Anathema/Antimatter) appearing on bass from time to time.

A single and album are due to be released on there own LIVE TRANSMISSION records in early 2006 as well as already booked tours of Ireland,England,Greece,France and America.
