DESCRIPTION: This is a video for an unfinished album by John Merrik. I approached John about doing a video for his concept album about Shadow People. He had already decided to shelve the project and work on something else, but gave me the sound files and said go ahead. We had one weekend to shoot with John Merrik in town before he moved to Florida. This made proved difficult for the project.
The original project was intended to have a very different tone. It was longer, slower, and more psychological. Due to time and budget constraints the video did not work out as I wanted. Frustrated with it as it was, I decided to make it fun again. So, I took some of my favorite parts and remixed it with a different tracks. Ultimately turning it into an entirely different thing. I like how it turned out. Maybe its knowing what those scenes really were and seeing the context change, but whatever it is, I can't watch this without laughing.
