John Kasper - Miroslav Pansky Competition: college level winner 2015 performance Civic Symphony of Green Bay

In 2008, with the unanimous support of the Civic Symphony Board of Directors, the Education Committee established a solo competition for young (high school and college age ) musicians. The event was founded as a memorial to Miraslav Pansky, who was music director and conductor of the former Green Bay Symphony and Green Bay youth orchestra for 23 years. The competition has continued as a biennial event - and the centerpiece of Civic Symphony of Green Bay's commitment to educational outreach to young musicians of Northeast Wisconsin.
