DESCRIPTION:
Dance Floor by Zapp & Roger Troutman. The Stratocaster that I am playing in the video was the first Stratocaster I purchased as a professional musician and I was performing a lot of shows around California at that time (circa 1992). I was working for "The Gang's Back" band as the guitarist and gigged throughout California 100+ performances a year and shared many nights on the same bill as ZAPP & ROGER. I had the honor of meeting Mr. Roger Troutman one of those days as he was present during one of my sound checks, Roger asked about one of my effects pedals I was using that he liked. (I ended up giving it to him right off my pedal board out of respect) Roger would show me a thing or two on guitar every now and then after that meeting and we became friends and he was a mentor to me. Roger has played this Stratocaster you see in this video many times, so I thought I would play it and tell the story. R.I.P. Roger.
