John Boutté - Hallelujah - Video
PUBLISHED:  Aug 18, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
Best known for the title song of HBO's "Treme" (pronounced "Tra-may"), there's a whole lot more to John Boutté than just possibly one of the greatest opening theme songs in the history of TV; well except for Patrick McGoohan's "The Prisoner". (Don't ask; just be bewildered) This song is from his CD "All About Everything". He takes Leonard Cohen's masterpiece, "Hallelujah" and gave it a bit of a New Orleans twist. The CD is great but this is all I'm posting from it. Mr. Boutté must make a living too! NOTE: Not to be compared to Jeff Buckley. Buckley's version may have been the 9th wonder of the world. (I consider myself the 8th Wonder because my mother always said, people wondered about me!) One more thing, the final season of "Treme" premiers on HBO December 1, 2013. Who Dat!
