In this video, I’m going to teach you the concept of Swing Time Conversion. This is an invaluable skill, which will enable you to convert your bass lines from an 8th note groove into a triplet feel. I’m going to use an Anthony Jackson groove as an example.

Understanding how triplets feel is essential to understand how jazz feels, but is equally found in popular and rock music. Learning Swing Time Conversion is necessary because it allows you to understand how to add the “swing” element into your bass lines.
