Taken from the Mixmag-endorsed "Anjunadeep 05" compilation, Jody Wisternoff's "We Are Heroes" (feat. Pete Josef) offers a sunny update on classic Chicago house influences - inspired by tracks like "Can You Feel It" by Mr Fingers and "Let The Music (Use)" by Night Writers.

Blending modern house grooves, retro 808 touches and warm Balearic vibes, "We Are Heroes" features the classy vocals of Bristol-based singer Pete Josef ("How You Make Me Smile") and captures Jody's musical, sun-soaked take on the contemporary deep house sound perfectly.

The first of two brilliant remixes, rising UK house talent Jacob Wiltshire aka J. Wiltshire follows on from his heavily supported "How It Is EP" with Hypercolour to deliver a deep, dubbed out and bass-heavy rework.

Offering a more unravelling and obviously uplifting flavour, Panic Bomber from Kurtz & Bomber (Bedrock) adds an infectious interpretation that sits somewhere between deep tech-house and classic piano house vibes.

Completing the package is Jody's unique "Macbeth" track - again featuring on "Anjuandeep 05". With quirky, bouncy grooves, Inner City-style stabs and an almost Moroder-esque melody line, "Macbeth" is another brilliant fusion of retro influences and contemporary sounds.
