Impressed and fascinated for the Brazilian masters of guitar, it will nevertheless be the funk of the end of the years 70- begin of the eighties and the new wave that will serve as ingredients for the first mix dj of Joaquin BAIXA.



Following with interest the evolution of electronical music, it will be the new interest for percussions and the will to discover more african, latin and oriental music that will be stronger.

During the evolution of this musical cultures, the bridges with the house, the « tribal » music and the break beat will be imposed as something obvious and will serve as guideline of sets that will be revealed as real voyages on rythms that are either swinging, or either frenzied, for ten years already !



Thanks to its sharp taste in downtempo, Joaquin BAIXA could let appreciate certain facets of its talent in Belgium as well as abroad in the « lounge » trendy places. It allows you also to discover his favourite compilations for the charming hotel « LA BANANE » at Saint Barthélemy and more recently the restaurants BELGA QUEEN.



In club, it is a real fusion of types that Joaquim shares with his public and if the musical energy remains sensual, it is most of all festive and amazing.



For more than two years now, Joaquin BAIXA constitutes with Patrick BALZAT the duo URBAN PLEASURE SEEKERS where their common influences but also their different musical course reinforce the strenght, of their sets djs of their productions appreciated by the fans of DENNIS FERRER, DANNY KRIVIT, KRAAK & SMAAK, …



This duo is also founder of the label SELECTA BEATS of which the productions are available on all the best sites of the planet.
