The Black Cat Jazz & Blues Club is the most internationally known venue in Jakarta for live jazz and blues. It is conveniently located in central Jakarta, located upstairs in a major building. The room is very comfortable, with a nice stage with a grand piano off to one side. The food is quite good. All in all it has the atmosphere of a dinner club, rather than a bar. Tuesday nights are reserved almost always from blues, often with the blues band from the Indonesia Blues Association onstage, along with other bands.

If you are a stranger coming to Jakarta, this is an excellent place to go to learn what's happening in the blues and jazz community.
