PARIS - SONIC JIHAD - Video
PUBLISHED:  Sep 10, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
It's been 10 years since the terror attacks of September 11 changed the world, and the media "Propaganda/Feel-good/U.S. First" onslaught is in full swing this weekend (and probably not a moment too soon for our sackless President). With all of the hoopla surrounding the official narrative of the events of that fateful day, it's time to revisit one of the most forceful and honest artistic responses to the intolerant and racist patriotic fervor that existed in the U.S. at the time: Paris' Sonic Jihad.
Originally banned by all major distribution outlets in the United States, Sonic Jihad was released initially through an international distributor and made available in most countries (including the U.S.) as an import, eventually garnering strong sales and major critical acclaim. To this day, it elicits passionate emotions in people - they either love it or hate it - and those feelings are usually determined by whether or not they embrace truth or continue to drink the U.S. Government's Kool-Aid.
Sonic Jihad is a comprehensive commentary on our divisive political climate, the Bush Administration's policies at that time, the New World Order, the manmade origins of AIDS, military lies and propaganda, police brutality and the embarrassing state that hip hop is currently in. The first single, "What Would You Do?" was a lightning-rod for controversy in the United States, garnering coverage from such notable sources as MTV2, The New York Times and MSNBC for its suggestion that the Bush Administration played a key role in orchestrating the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. The album also features progressive hip-hop visionaries Dead Prez, Public Enemy, Kam, and reggae sensation Capelton, creating a potent molotov cocktail of an album unmatched in intensity and righteous rage.

Would you like to have a Guerrilla Funk artist appear on your project? Do you need professional music production to complete your vision? If so, you can inquire here. Be prepared to send a mp3 of your work.
Nothing is for free of course, but if you're interested, the turnaround time is usually less than a week.
Guerrilla Funk Recordings and Filmworks, LLC (GFR) produces original music and film projects, and was founded to provide balance in the intolerant climate of suppression of free speech that arose after the terror attacks of 9/11. It serves as a vehicle for those who are unable - not because of lack of talent or relevance - to be heard. With millions of records sold independently since inception, GFR will continue to strive to enlighten and inspire through entertainment.
Paris' latest album is in production now! Currently untitled, it's his leanest and most aggressive project in years, and his first offering since 2008's critically-acclaimed Acid Reflex. It promises to deliver hard truth over raw, rough music as never before.
Release date TBA.
