This is the first part of my detailed video comparison of the Dean Dime Razorback guitar and the LTD ESP JH-600 guitar. In this review, I compare the signature models from two legendary heavy metal artists: Dimebag Darrell (Pantera/Damageplan) and Jeff Hanneman (Slayer).

NOTE: I am NOT comparing guitar tone on this video. The fact the Dean guitar has EMG pickups is irrelevant. Tone is a matter of personal opinion, and digital distortion makes both guitars sound similar, even when the Dean had the Dimebucker. Also, as I explain on the video, the V version of the Razorback guitar has EMG pickups.

The Razorback Explosion features a licensed Floyd Rose tremolo, active EMG 81 pickups, set neck construction, 22 frets, Ernie Ball strings, detuned by 1 step.

The LTD JH-600 features a Kahler Hybrid tremolo, EMG 81/85 pickups, neck-through construction, 24 frets, Ernie Ball strings, detuned by 1 step.

I also use my vintage B.C. Rich Mockingbird when discussing body balance.

I created my distortion/metal tone with Amplitube (my own settings).
