DESCRIPTION:
Taken out of the song of solomons in the Bible...which is symbolic of the Bridegroom (Jesus) and the Bride (His true followers). This song is speaking of a heart that has grown cold and distant when it comes to the Bridegroom. Many of us when we first come to the Lord have a zeal and passion for Christ, but then the fire has dimmed or gone out. This is a heartfelt cry to come closer in intimacy with the Lord, to return to our first Love, God. It speaks of a 'pure' love, a Holy love between us and the Lover of our Souls, Jesus. So much I could say here, but God desires to have fellowship with us like He did with Adam and Eve in the garden. He wants to speak to us, to hold us and comfort us, to encourage and to strengthen us in hard times and fill us with joy. The Word says the 'pure in heart will see God.' It's not about 'perfection' it's about what is in our hearts and what we feed our spirit and soul. It's about seeking Him and desiring to KNOW Him, not just about Him. He is calling us to Come up Higher in our devotion, in our love and in our worship. Nothing and NO ONE can satisfy our hearts like Jesus. As I watched this a few times...I could feel the tug of the One who gave His life for me...who loved me completely and unconditionally and tears came to my eyes. Do you feel Him tugging at your heart? He's calling...will you come?
