DESCRIPTION:
A 28 minute film about transgender singer, musician and songwriter Jennifer Maidman (www.jennifermaidman.com ) the making of her album Dreamland, including interviews with Jennifer and her collaborators. The film was shot and directed in 4k high definition video by Dakota Lane, in and around Woodstock NY , using an iPhone 6, and edited on iMac.

The album was recorded at Dreamland and Jersville studios Woodstock, New York, with additional overdubs at Rim Shot and the Cabin , Kent, UK. Featuring Annie Whitehead trombone and baritone horn , David Torn guitar/loops, Jerry Marotta drums/percussion , former members of the Penguin Cafe Orchestra (Geoffrey Richardson, Helen Liebman, Peter McGowan strings and Stephen Fletcher piano ). Singer Murray Head and engineers Mathew Cullen and Pete Caigan also appear in the film.

Featured on the album but not appearing in the film are Liam Genockey drums , Mitt Gamon harp , Sam Brown vocal, Paul Brady whistle, Robert Wyatt trumpet/Wyatotron, Sally Ann Triplett, Gary Dyson and Phil Saatchi backing vocals, Adam Armstrong engineering.
